How a game works
Players split into two or more sides and play rounds on a field: a forest, an old building or a purpose-built site. Each round has a goal, such as holding an area, taking a flag or putting the other side out of the game.
A player hit by a BB, on the body or on the gear they wear, calls "hit", raises a hand or shows a red rag, and walks back to their side's respawn point. The game works because everyone calls their hits honestly.
Safety basics
Eye protection is required on every field, from the moment you enter the game area until you leave it. Many fields also require face protection, and they always require it for younger players.
- ■Wear sealed, impact-rated goggles or a full-face mask.
- ■Take the magazine out and fire a few shots into the ground before you leave the game area.
- ■Have your replica's power checked (chrono) when the field asks.
- ■Keep to the field's minimum engagement distances.
Kinds of play
Skirmishes are short rounds on a weekend morning, open to anyone. MilSim games last longer, often a whole day or night, with a story, a chain of command, limited respawns and objectives that change during the game.
Teams train together and travel to games; organizers run the field and the scenario.
Where to play
Fields and teams run regular games in most Greek cities. The easiest start is a team or an open game near you: they lend gear to first-timers and explain the field's rules.
